More on N95 Accelerometer Applications

Good thing Nokia give the API to access the accelerometer built inside N95. We’ve started seeing more interesting applications showing up. Here is one found on Nokia Mosh, Accelerinvader, a motion controlled Space Invader.

This program is surprisely small so that the installation is quick and easy. Playing the game is easy. If you don’t know how to play Space Invader, then you don’t deserve to have a N95. With motion control, you only need tilt the phone to move you gun left and right. The response comes from the sensor is amazingly sensitive, meaning you can have precise fine control of the movement. Besides the motion control, the game utilize the vibrator too so that you got Wii kinda feedback. And, don’t think this is a simple and easy game. The combination of moving direction and the velocity determines you gun shot direction, plus you need avoid the dropping bomb. It’s hard to win.
