How the N95 deals with travel

 The N95 makes travel a lot easier, GPS tells you direction, 5 MP camera captures your trip experience and BTW the phone keeps you connected with the world you live in. But how about the factors surrounding the travel itself, the flight, weather, time zone shifting, currency exchange, etc. How N95 will help relief the stress from those?

That’s where the WorldMate comes in. WorldMate is called the swiss army knife of mobile travel. I believe it after playing with it. Good thing it’s free and it’s a S60 application working great on N95.

The installation is very straight forward. Once it’s done installation, starting the application will prompt you to give an email and a password. That’s it. There will be no further registration. Once login, it will surprise you with a voice announcement. It’s kinda nice. I’m used to hear my TomTom 910 talking to me all the time. It’s refreshing to hear my N95 does the same now.

As you can see, the free version doesn’t give you features like Flight Status, Flight Schedule and Satellite Imagery. But unless you are indeed a frequent traveler, those features can wait. The other free ones are nice enough. The work clock are nicely laid out, the weather information and forecast will be extremely helpful if you enjoy outdoor activities.

I think this software is a keeper. I wouldn’t surprised to see new feature such as automatically pick up current location from N95 GPS and provide location based travel information proactively.
