It takes time to buy a N95

POSTED BY Jack on Sep 20 under N95 General

A very interesting reading at Diary of a Sales King. He’s complaining about their own web site steal the sales after long demo of the features of N95.

Mitesh looked like he was going to drop one when he stomped into the back room. ‘I have just spent half an hour walking a punter through the N95, getting the GPS up and running outside, showing him the camera and Bluetoothing the picture to a printer,’ he said. ‘I’m glad to hear it. That sounds like a very thorough demonstration, in line with the principles of Total Customer Brilliance,’ I said. ‘Did you sell him broadband as well?’ ‘No,’ said Mitesh. ‘After all that, he said he was going to buy it online because it was cheaper. This is driving me nuts, Barry. That’s the second time I’ve been done over this week, by our own freaking website.’

What strikes me is that there might be just two types of people buying N95. One type is just go find deal and buy it. They know how good they are and what the N95 can do. Another type needs a thorough demo to learn or to be impressed by this “complicate” device. They will buy it eventually, it just takes a lot more time with the 2nd type of customers only because the N95 can do so much.

Well, I don’t think people in between will be interested in N95, iphone maybe.
