TXT, Buy and Pay from Your Cell

Have you ever been wondering around inside Border’s or B&N bookstore and find good book you’d like to buy a book? Then wait, you’d like to know how much it costs if buy from Amazon. But at time you found out the price, if you cold ever remember to find it out after leaving bookstore, you’d regret bought it from the store.

Well, not anymore. Amazon started a service called Amazon TextBuyIt. What you need to do is to TXT to AMAZON (262966) with keyword, such as book title, author, ISDN or UPC, it will send back you items with prices. You reply it via TXT with the item number you picked. Then a phone call to your phone confirm the purchase. That easy.

Amazon bought this startup called TextPay last year. I think the whole mobile service is built on it. I’d store this number right away into my phone because I’ve done the thing I mentioned earlier many times.
