When Voice is the Most Efficient Tool
I wrote about three dial-in note voice tools days ago. They are all good when the voice based services are the most efficient way of using a phone. How about when you want to know something you don’t know and you can get to internet search for the answer? Here comes ChaCha, a human backed search engine. And, the most important to my readers here, it just release a dial in service. The number is: 1-800-2-ChaCha (800-224-2242)
How it works?
Just dial the number and ask (speak) any question, and get an answer sent to you via SMS. Every SMS capable handset will work, whether it’s a simple feature phone or a powerful smartphone (We N95 owners don’t want to discriminate simple phones, don’t we?)
In its release, ChaCha is emphasizing you can ask them whatever you want, including such questions as:
- How much sodium is in a McDonald’s Big Mac?
- What hotel in downtown Austin has a business center?
- Who won the last Boston Marathon?
- Where can I get the cheapest gas in Orlando, Florida?
- Who stars in the new movie “21″?
That’s very handy, isn’t it? Pull up your phone and give it a try.
