10 Apps to Have for Your N95, or not
Jason Harris at Gigaom posted 10 apps to have for a Symbian S60 phone, that’s your N95 too. Here they are with my opinions:
Unless you want to install more software or like Google’s UI you really don’t have to. You can setup N95 to access your Google mail using the built-in mail features. It does the same thing if we just talking about getting your emails.
I wrote about GooSync a while ago. If you live or die with Google Calendars, it’s a nice tool to have. Be aware though, the free one can only sync one calendar.
It’s tool like Justin.tv to broadcast yourself in real time. I feel like it’s kinda weird to do so unless you are in some kind of business.
It’s another Twitter. Don’t know twitter? Then forget about Jaiku. Google bought it. You can just SMS to you Jaiku. No need to install the software, unless you are really like to stalk, I mean, know what your friends are doing.
I like Fring because IM is becoming my major tool to communicate with friends. This dude can do Yahoo IM, MSN, Gtalk, AIM, Skype and Twitter. If you have 3G or other fast connection. Go get it.
You should have this one if you manage you work out systematically, most people I know don’t, though. Be aware, you need manually do lots data entries.
You go to have this one. Again, I wrote about the Handy Taskman too. If you use task manager at your PC frequently, then you do need this one. It does just that.
There are alternatives of ShoZu. Even N95 built-in feature can do what ShoZu does, well, most of them. But I like it indeed. Especially you have multiple places to store you digital output of your N95, ShoZu is really handy. Be aware though, it runs on background, could use your good size of memory.
If you subscribe and listen to podcast a lot then you need this one.
I just love this one. The new version can track where you are without GPS on or coverage. I just wish it can do routing as well.
